M-Business Presentation 2022

This is a 10-week project that students build their own businesses. You can see the attached file for the full project instructions. The final presentation is to summarize the key experiences and achievements of the company. It should bring life to the highs and lows of their Company Program involvement. What they have learned from mistakes as well as achievements. This is not only a product presentation; it is a Business presentation for an investor, the public, or others to attract interest for the Company.

Some comments from students about the project:

"I would say that I learned various things from this project. I learned from other people’s ideas and perspectives. Even though I am in the production department, I also get to use my marketing knowledge to help the finance team come up with suitable prices and promotions. Also, I learned about my strength and the way to cooperate with other people. All of these things would be very useful to me when I grew up in the future and have to work with many people."

"The M-business project helps me develop my leadership and management skills the most as I am able to work as the VP of the HR department which means that I need to lead my team and also manage the work and help Mark plan with some tasks. The project really was a very helpful and enjoyable work which gave me a great experience. "

"In this project I use some of the leadership techniques that I learn in this class which are consulting and controlling leadership style. There are many conflicts that occur but I think we did a pretty great job and the outcome is just like what we think it should be. Lastly I just want to said that Thank you Miss Fon for being my teacher for both Leadership and marketing class. It was great to have Miss. Fon as my teacher for my Last year in MUIDS. Your teaching style is different from other teachers and the one that I like the most would be that before each assignment or project you always give example and that teaching technique is very great and it really helps me."

"This work has created a lot of skill that I would be able to use in the future including: public speaking, communication, leadership, team work, and entrepreneurship skills. I am very happy to get this opportunity as a vice president of the public relation team. And I have led my team and manage the work of public relation. This skill would be very helpful for me in my college’s major and future careers."

"This project taught me a lot about critical skills: problem-solving, critical thinking, communicating, self-awareness, decision-making, and many more which are obviously essential and useful in my daily life. Moreover, I have gained experience and knowledge regarding running a business with the process and details are that I have observed. I understand more about humanity, and how we are all so different, and I have learned how to deal with each of them."

"This project taught me alot in many parts to develop my leadership skill as I saw other works and knowing how the company works as we have to separate people in each part to do their own task. I think it is a new experience that I never had before and I can adapt it to use in the future job."

"I think the part where I did well was the teamwork skills and management because I could convey my message and picture in my head to make sure the other understood the same thing as me. On part that I could improve is I have to be more calm and soft when discussing problems to avoid further conflict and to maintain good relationship between me and my peers. The best part was in my department we all listened to each other and we never had a fight with each other because we discussed everything with reasons. We really worked well together as a team because there was no conflict between us and we got closer to each other as friends too. I really valued the relationship I created with my friends especially in my department the most."

"Firstly, I gained a lot of experiences during working in this business. I got a chance to know people more and also observe and learn from them. Although I still made a lot of mistakes, I will take those mistakes to be my lesson and improve my future self."

"Overall, I think I successfully developed throughout the whole project. There might be some flaws but I still managed to put my full effort into all assigned works. This project also helps me prepare for my future path because this gives me the real environment that I have to face in the real field. I am grateful that our products went well and all employees are nice to me."

"Overall , I believe that I gain a lot of useful skills and knowledge from this project as I put my full effort into my part. I am sure that I will be able to adapt to it in the future even there are some mistakes or flies but I will keep this as one of my experiences to do it better next time. "To begin, I heard about this project from my seniors last year, and I found it very interesting operating a company with our friends. My expectation is that we would have so much fun walking to sell our product, but when our time comes it doesn’t like what I have expected because we need to do most of it online. Apart from that, I think the Skills for Leadership course is one of the interesting choices. I have learned that we can show our leadership skills even if we’re not assigned the role as the leader: it’s all up to ourselves, but also the type of the real leader.Lastly, I’m glad to meet everyone and work with them, including Miss Fon. "From this elective section “Leadership and Management”, I have learned many things about how to be a good leader from this class. I have learned how to control a large number of people and a role in every department from one company. I have experience of contacting the factory for making a product, also designing packaging on my own. I have worked with a huge amount of people and I am very proud about our final product. Even if we have some different ideas and fight for something, finally we can produce the best inhaler in the world from my heart.
