As part of my role in mentoring student innovation and entrepreneurship initiatives, I served as the mentor for a team of students participating in the ADVA/JA Dengue Slayers Challenge 2024 organized by Junior Achievement Thailand. In this role, I coordinated with the JA Thailand organizers, guided students throughout the project development process, and accompanied the team to represent Thailand at the regional competition in Kuala Lumpur.
The competition challenges students to develop innovative and potentially viable technological solutions to address the spread of dengue fever. Participants are encouraged to design creative approaches for mosquito control, health monitoring, and public awareness while ensuring environmentally responsible solutions. Through the program, students develop important skills in critical thinking, teamwork, innovation, and real-world problem solving.
I am proud to congratulate our student team—Korawan Buranathananukij, Lawitra Huang, and Chutamat Sirikhunanan from Grade 11—for winning First Place in the ADVA/JA Dengue Slayers Challenge Local Final 2024. Following their national success, the team had the opportunity to represent Thailand at the Asia Pacific Final in Kuala Lumpur, where they competed with winning teams from Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, and Indonesia.
