Wai Kru Ceremony 2016
The MUIDS Photography club had an opportunity to take photos and video for the Wai Kru ceremony 2016. This activity is held on 21-22 November 2016 for Wai Kru event.

"Wai Kry is an annual event where students pay homage to their teachers. Mahidol University president Udom Kachintorn and representatives from the student body spoke about the importance of teachers in their lives. The entire MUIDS student body said the Wai Kru poem and sang in honor of their teachers.
Afterwards, each student presented their teachers with a sampling of flowers. Each flower conveys a specific trait students strive to embody. The Lxora, a flower with pointed buds, symbolizes a sharp mind, while the Cynodon Dactyolon represents resilience and perseverance. Eggplant flowers, which bow low when they are about to ripen, represent respect and humility.
Students know Wai Kru is an important day. It is one day out of the year where they can express their gratitude to their teachers for working long hours on their behalf. They also know that one day is never enough to say thank you."
